el dia 6.6.11 Lunes
vi el film The Tree of Life
Prov 3:18
She (the Torah or Wisdom) is a tree of life to those who embrace her
and happy is every one that retains her.
Genesis 2:9
And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground
trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food.
In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Barnes' Notes on the Bible
"The tree of life" which Adam was not to taste lies open to his children. Wisdom is the "tree of life," giving a true immortality. The symbol entered largely into the religious imagery. of Assyria, Egypt, and Persia. Philo, going a step further, found in the two trees the ideal representatives of speculative knowledge and moral wisdom; and the same image subserves a higher purpose in the promises and the visions of Revelation 2:7; Revelation 22:2.
Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.
Genesis 2:9 And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground--trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
